AB A critical look at contemporary Czech dubbing production and its problems, mainly related to the development after 1989. The author uses his knowledge and experience as a dubbing director and translator to describe in detail the Czech dubbing school from the 1960s-1990s, as well as contemporary techniques in translation, text editing and dubbing, and the intricacies of translating film dialogue and monologues into Czech.
