AB The article shows how the post-war co-production between Yugoslavia and Italy contributed to the professionalisation of the Yugoslav film industry. Using the example of František Čap's film Sand, Love and Salt, the author shows a new perspective on the transformation of Italian neorealism into a popular genre.
