AB The study focuses on the characters of artists in Czech feature films from 1948 - 1956. In the first part of the study, the author outlines ideological formulas extracted from cultural and political texts of the immediate post-revolutionary period, on the basis of which the purposiveness of the selected film types becomes clearer.
