Cry for Recognition: So-called Feminine Television Genre Soap Opera and its Audience in the Process of Realizing of Gender Identifications

Iva Baslarová

Using the original Czech soap opera Ordinace v růžové zahradě as an example, the text deals with two levels of gender identification: on the one hand, it examines the formation of media content and, on the other, its subsequent reception. The basis is empirical research on the audience of this soap opera.
