Borrowed Imagination. Tracing the Distribution of Genre Movies in Nationalized Film Industries
The study focuses on genre films produced by socialist cinemas between 1960 and 1989 and their popularity in other socialist bloc countries. The author investigates the exchange of films between socialist countries, their place in the repertoire, the distribution method and the audience response.
