Importing Modern Venus. Hollywood, Starlets, and the Czech Star System of the early-to-mid 1930s

In her essay, the author deals with the Czech star system of the first half of the 1930s, which was influenced by American Hollywood. The Hollywood system of film stars and starlets was a model for the film magazine Kinorevue and the newly founded Film Studio.
