The study analyses in detail the Slovak-Czech cooperation from autumn 1968 to spring 1940 in the production of the film magazine Aktualita and later Nástup. The cooperation was noticeably affected by German interests in 1939. The study reconstructs the origins of the Slovak magazine Nástup and its links to the Czech magazine Aktualita and notes the importance of Karel Pečený and Pavel Čambala in the field of Slovak and Czech news film.
