The idea of a film archive (About the article by B. Matuszewski)

The article is reminiscent of Boleslas Matuszewski's classic essay "The New Historical Source" (1898) from the prehistory of film archiving and traces the maturation of this idea in the Czech environment to the establishment of the film archive in 1943.
