Autor se zamýšlí nad tím, zda je film foto-fonetický záznam reality nebo zda podle názoru Petera Brunettea a Davida Willse je film dekonstrukcí mimetické operace a zda lze chápat film jako text, jehož textualita je tvořena diferencemi a stopami. Na závěr uvádí, že film je vlastně imitace, která imituje sebe samu.
