(In)visible Layers of the Film Image. The Storyboard, DVD and the Exhibitionistic Rhetoric of Hollywood Cinema

The storyboard as a starting point from which we can analyse general phenomena in terms of the medium (DVD), the production process and the film's promotional strategy. The DVD medium is not only offered as an alternative to the cinema, but also as an "editing table" or a film textbook. The different types and functions of storyboard marketing on DVD and specific examples on contemporary Hollywood productions.
