Emergent Digitial Videotheques and the Persistence of the Archive Impulse
The translated text by British film scholar Peter Walsh was written for the Iluminace magazine and focuses on the impact of digitization on a wide range of film fans. He provides two examples of primarily non-archival institutions in which the 'archival impulse' is awakening as a result of digitization.
