A study of the synergy between Czech film and the recording industry of the 1930s. The author uses sources from the fund of Andreas Struve, a shareholder of the K´chenmeister concern, which originally included the Czech Ultraphon, and from the archives of its successor company Supraphon Music. The author explores the relationships between the gramophone, radio, film and film song and the local manifestations of the global concentration of the media industry in the 1930s.
